Dice Tower West is in less than two weeks! The marker to go with this event needs some feedback, as the hubs and I are stuck in a tie!

Here we have my ‘dice’ tower marker. On the sides are indents with 3 or 4 pips, and on the back is 5 pips.

Rahdo insists that it is simply not done, dahling, to put a single pip on the front of the tower above the door (which is what I think looks best) because every die in the world has a 2 opposite the 5. But I think two pips makes the gate look a bit like a sad mouth. So we’ve come to either two ‘eye’ pips or none.

So we need you to tiebreak! Here’s a survey to collect your wisdom! Feel free to comment or add additional voting options!

So, what else has been going on? Well, I made a custom-order “MEGA” marker yesterday. It was an interesting test of my skills as it’s a LOT of glass to keep hot and balanced. marker sizes by Jenefer Ham

In other news, I’ve been stocking up on Googlies, FRIENDS, Monsters, and Pandemic viruses, among other designs. I hope I’ll have enough of what everyone wants at Dice Tower West, but feel free to message me if there’s something you’ve been hankering after, and I’ll make sure I have it there for you!

I’m also wondering…should I bring non-meeple/gaming jewelry? I’ve got some gorgeous new pieces made with silverglass that are so much better in person than in photographs…

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and votes. I think I’ll go with 2 pip ‘eyes’ for this year. Although I may mix it up a bit too…since they’re made one at a time, I can have fun with some variance!

Who knows for next year’s design…perhaps I’ll work on being able to fit six pips, right now they get too squished because the indentations are stacked: with glass there needs to be somewhere for the displaced glass to go (that’s why I didn’t talk about the 6/1 faces as an option-which you’d never know since I didn’t say anything!)

Hope y’all had fun helping me with the design though! Rahdo and I have enjoyed joking around about how right he was with the properness of the die faces. =)

I think that the sad faced tower has more character and is therefore more interesting.

Thanks Mary! He does remind me of video game characters from the 90s. =)

These are so cute 🙂 I would love to see some dichro meeples, earrings, rings, wearable markers and meeples, teddy bears, dragons, as well as the beautiful jewelry pieces!

Thanks for your comment Ori! I will be ready with some of all that! Alas, I can’t bring everything, let alone display it all, but there will be a good selection. I think I have one teddy bear made at the moment… the thing I’m really excited to show are new WITWAT made using the silver glass. They are sooooo cool with multi-colors. It’s like magic, that glass.
