The WITWAT and I are so excited and pleased to report that you supporters allowed us to donate a value of $23,818 to Ukraine emergency relief charities this month!
If you missed my CARE WITWIT campaign, there are still 4 CARE WITWIT up for auction at http://jv.rahdo.com (for one more week).
Click if you want to donate directly to care.org and take advantage of matching funds to make your donation even better.
The CARE WITWIT campaign is finished now (although I have a few more to make and send in April) but the final accounting is in:
Our first donation to care.org was $3150
Then we donated $5000 to UN World Food Programme (which was doubled by a google match program, so worth $10,000 to UNWFP)
And I’ve just made the last donation to CARE.org to bring us up to the $10,283 raised (which will be matched 4X so it’s really worth 10,668 to CARE.org)!
So all in all, we’ve contributed a value of $23,818! And it was all due to YOU wonderful supporters!
Thank you for helping me do something really worthwhile!
Here is a video showing one of the batches of CARE WITWAT…
now that they’ve fulfilled their life’s purpose to help others, they are excited to spend the rest of their existence playing games and hanging out with you fabulous people!
PS If you’re considering doing a similar project for fundraising, feel free to contact me…I learned a lot doing this and would be happy to pass on some of my hard-won wisdom =)
PPS for those who like the nitty-gritty, here is how the Etsy fees broke down — and maybe Etsy will agree to waive their fees (still haven’t heard back from them) in which case I’ll donate that amount as well :

Awww! Thanks Sarah! The project grew so quickly and I’m so honored! It makes me realize that the little things we can do, can really add up!
PS yes. Etsy has recently gotten better about listing everything in a more easy-to-understand format…but still, there is a lot. And they’re raising the fees next month too!
