Lest you think it’s all work and no play around here, let’s start this update with a happy, waggy Gertrude. Ahhhhh. Can you feel the warmth of the Mediterranean sun? Lovely! Like Tula she enjoys her comforts!  <3

The Gertrudius waggus

But I have been hard at work, and thought it worth putting up an update as there’s quite a variety of new work in my Etsy shop this week:

First we have a new design inspired by Pandemic Legacy. We are on our second playing and I felt we and our friends deserved special Operative markers for such a great gaming experience. The black markings are organic and interact differently with each base color, so they are super fun to make…I never quite know how the black is going to spread/expand…rather like a virus, yes?pandemic pawns by Jenefer Ham Glass

I finally got my head around what I wanted to create for memorial jewelry. I like the idea that these TREASURE vessels can be used to for any small keepsakes … soil from your garden, fur or cremains from your beloved pets, sand from beach you honeymooned on, seeds from a favorite plant, etc. And I can even send them empty for people to fill and seal since all that’s needed is a a bit of two-part epoxy (or any glue that works with metal and glass).

And lastly, to end on a goofy note, we have some Ogres. I designed these as a three-sided die to be a prize for Rahdo’s kickstarter backers and found that the findings I’d sourced for my TREASUREs looks great with them, so now the die can be wearable too. There are three listings on Etsy right now…they are the actual pieces which are made and ready to wing their way to you!

    Hi Louise

Thank you for asking! Yes, I’ll have a bunch of glass at Essen. At the moment, I can tell you I’ll have the cast glass meeple markers (both one-off colors, and sets of red/yellow/green/blue), a mighty fine selection of WITWAT, penguins, some dragons and an assortment of other markers/sculptures.

I thought it would be fun to offer the custom meeple jewelry, but I may just make a bunch of the singles in red, yellow, green and blue to have on hand so people can buy them at Essen. If I do that, the custom work may have to go by the wayside as I’ll have used up a lot (all?) of my meeples already…but I’ll wait a few more weeks to see how that all goes. =)

I should probably do an update on this sort of Essen stuff. Hmmm….next week, me thinks! Thanks for getting me thinking about that =)
