One thing I wanted to have a play with in my kiln-formed glass studio was dots. I could probably fiddle about with dots quite happily for years! But this time it’s using powdered glass and one of the punch boards from a board game (Catacombs iirc)
So here are some photos of my dotty efforts. They will be at Surrey Guild Gallery on Saturday!
wheeeeeee!!!
Diggity dots
Excellent use of the leftover punchboard! I keep as many as I’m allowed, particularly if it has new shapes, thinking that it could be useful at some point.
Oh man! You don’t know how many time we’ve tossed those punch-outs, saying “someone ought to come up with something good to do with these things!” I’m so glad you found something, and so adorable too!
I kept a bunch of them for years but I rarely make work with anything stencily . But dots! Cheery happy dots! Love ’em!
I bet if you offered punch boards as stencils on freecycle or Craigslist or your local equivalent you’d find some crafters delighted to take them off your hands. Or maybe a children’s activity program. 🙂
