Look at these little cuties! The very first thing I did when I got to my studio was to make some tiles in these colors so I could send them to a waterjet-cutting service to get meeple-shapes in my glass! I’m pleased with how they came out!

However, they came back with a few unexpected appendages so we spent some quality time together (along with the ring saw my most-excellent husband got me as a Christmas present many years ago).

And then it was kiln time (let’s sing together: ba da da dah, ba da, ba da– hammer time!)

This morning they lept from the kiln looking like candy! And I took a few to the sandblaster to see how they’d look with a beach washed finish. Great fun and more detailed hi-res pics once I’m home…!

Chocolate does not like to live in my studio. It gets bloom and the texture is ruined. However the kiln can fix even that! Do you like my improvised double boiler? The chocolate did!

And now the sun sets on my time in England. Getting back on the plane tomorrow, bound for Malta!
