Things are very exciting around here as Rahdo gets ready for the trip to Gencon! I have packed up some of my glass markers and pendants, so you  can see them in person at the show.

Lately I’ve been so enjoyably wrapped up with the Dragons, Dinos etc that I almost forgot to finish an idea I’ve been working on for a few months:

Wearable Markers!

And I really wanted to get it ready in time to show it, and hopefully receive feedback, at Gencon.

So, Rahdo will be wearing the prototype at the show, and I hope you’ll flag him down, inspect his neckwear <grin> and peruse the box of glass loveliness he’s carrying in his backpack. There are some discounted set specials for the show, and a couple of early pieces which are very very discounted (the first kitty marker!)

But back to the contest(s)  Be sure to fill out the little form to be entered into the drawing for a bespoke glass Meeple necklace, in your favorite colors, of course! I welcome any comments, and suggestions on what to name them too! And if you have a favorite joke, there’s room on the form for that too.  =)

If you’re not going to Gencon, no problem, you can enter the online drawing! Just go over there on the right, where it says Subscribe to Jenefer.net! Enter your email address, click ‘subscribe’ and you’ll have done it! You are welcome to leave a comment here on the blog if you have any feedback, or you can contact me by clicking here.

We will have the drawings when Rahdo’s home, on Wednesday August 20th, and I will get in touch with the two winners to find out if they want a lady or gentleman, what colors, and what kind of cable/cord. Should be fun!

Here’s Rahdo, with a quick update and preview of the glass:

You should totally call them “Gleeples.”

I love them … although now I have to justify ordering 6 gamer glass markers and 6 Gleeples.

    Great Job!

… So I guess that means we need a cave gleeple carrying a club and wearing a leopard skin (yellow spots) to go along with the dinos and maybe play a game of Caverna. 🙂

    Thanks everyone for your comments!

Rahdo actually has The Dinos in his backpack for show and tell, so people can hold them and see if they like knobby or smooth skin. I’m really looking forward to hearing feedback!

He will return with a small box of goodies for my glass work. So, a caveman with a club may indeed be a possibility once I get a hold of my new toys, er, I mean tools. I’m excited to give it a try!

The dragon is adorable. Now add a fairy and you’ve got bits for the Carcassonne Dragon & Fairy extension!

And how about bunnies for Dixit?

Gleeples is a good name. I was calling them “Peaceful Meeples” just because they’re relaxing and just “hanging around.” :). They look great!

Fairies and bunnies and cavemen, oh my!

I had been thinking of calling them Dangling Meeples (inspired by Spooning Meeples) but I really like Gleeples.

We’ll see if the entry forms have any other suggested names when Rahdo gets back from Indianapolis, and have a little naming ceremony when we do the drawing =)
